| Which do you prefer more, loud portable radio or MP3 or iPod with earphone? | | For it depends on the situation or place. If I am at home where I won't be much of a disturbance I switch on my FM-DVD player. But if I am out of the house I would bring with me my iPod. However, I do use my iPod even at home if I prefer for a more personal music. Sometimes, it also depends on my mood. | |

| | Like Listening to the radio | | After i graduated from the university, I began to live alone. Although, my neighbors and upstairs are still my classmates. It is just like i still live at school. But the difference is we own our own rooms. In the room, we can do anything we like after closing the door. Meanwhile, only longliness accompanies myself. It is too quiet. Then i began to listen to radio. I'm poor, i haven't enough money to buy a television. The radio makes the room fill with voice: Music or the other voice. I will feel warm and no longliness.Hi, my friend, do you have any things related to a radio? | |
| | How Do You Listen to Your Music? | | Well, for the youngsters today, there is no other way except the MP3 players with a long wire and then a earphone stuck in their ears. For many adults, it is listening to a hi-fi in the comfort of the home. They always listen on the car stereo. I remembered at one time, I did not have a car stereo, so I brought a long a portable radio-tape player to listen in the car.So how do you listen to your music? | |

Wow, what a couple of days we've had here in Ohio.Without warning, we lost power Sunday afternoon and just now got it back Tuesday morning. Since cable was out too, that meant no lights, no TV, no computer/internet (no myLot - GASP!), and all the rest that comes with it. The remnants of Hurricane Ike traveled far enough that severe wind damage caused over one million people to be without power in central Ohio, and right now there are 500,000 still in the dark.I had started two discussions the other day and of course haven't been responding and there is no way I can get caught up on them, so I want to apologize to everyone for that. I have over 100 responses on the one discussion, and over 30 on the other, and they are still coming in. It would take me days to respond to that many, and there is no way I could do it and make them worthy comments, so I am just going to have to be strong and walk away from those two and just start again.I've a lot of catching up to do in other areas, but I'm so thankful to be back and have the opportunity to post again. Others will be without power for up to a week, so I am very thankful that although it was very rough going for the few...
| | Do you believe that there are people who can predict the future? | | A long time ago I was very interested in Nostradamus the man who made predictions back in the 1500's. Yes, some of them did happen but many of them didn't. This started me on a search for other so called "predicters" and I couldn't believe how many I found. I've had this web site in my favorites for a very long time and I kept it only to show my kids that many people who say they can predict events are not always right.
Take a look at some of the things people have predicted that have: Predictions that missed the mark
In 1894, the president of the Royal Society, Lord Kelvin, predicted that radio had no future. The first radio factory was opened five years later. He also predicted that heavier-than-air flying machines were impossible. Today, there are more than one billion radio sets in the world, tuned to more than 33 000 radio stations around the world. The Wright Brother's first flight covered a distance equal to only half the length of the wingspan of a Boeing 747.
In the 6th century BC Greek mathematician Pythagoras said that earth is round - but few agreed with him. Greek astronomer Aristarchos said in the 3rd century BC that earth revolves around the sun - but the idea...
| | Stilletto Radio (Sirius) | | I was wondering if anyone has gotten the Sirius Stilletto yet? This is a portable radio that also records the radio AND you can download music to it.I got mine for Christmas and I love it. You can listen to Sirius radio indoors if you have wireless internet, and you can take it outside and walk around with it because the antenna is built into the headphones. I am really enjoying listening to it and I got the car kit and take it with me. I LOVE IT!! | |
